ABOUT
Hey there. My name is Jeff Kolhede. I’m a record producer, audio engineer, mix engineer, and multi-instrumentalist. My specialty is guiding music artists and bands toward their fullest potential in a way that feels most authentic to them.
While I sometimes take on specific phases of a project, I most often work with an artist from the early concept through recording, mixing, and mastering. For example, when recording a band, I’m often mixing simultaneously or recording in a way that sets me up for the mixing phase. To me, all stages ebb and flow together as part of a cohesive creative process.
I’ve been fortunate to play in some fantastic projects as a musician, to record incredible bands and artists as a producer and engineer, and ultimately, to be embedded in my community through music and sound. While I’m honored to have been part of music endeavors that received industry accolades, my focus remains on making music that is authentic, daring, and built to stand the test of time.
Thanks for checking me out.
Much peace and blessings,
Jeff Kolhede

"Equally deft as a recording engineer, producer, mix engineer, composer, and instrumentalist, Jeff is one of those rare creative humans who contributes what you're looking for, and much, much more. I've truly enjoyed every project with Jeff (of which there are many) and look forward to continuing the partnership for years to come. Glad to count him as a friend as well!"

"We worked with Jeff for two albums of incredible engineering—both of which received a GRAMMY nomination! One thing to know about Jeff is he is as excellent a musician as a vocalist, producer as an engineer... and so in the studio, you're getting the full spectrum. As a singer, I admired and learned from the way he hears music and can vocalize in any range. HIGHLY recommend for your projects of any scope."
